The client approached me with a common challenge: The client had just launched their Shopify store and needed proper tracking in place. No analytics had been set up yet — they wanted visibility into product views, add-to-carts, checkouts, and purchases.
They needed a clean GA4 setup with full eCommerce tracking, fast.




Project Description
I Set up a new Google Analytics(GA4) property Implemented Google Tag Manager(GTM) for flexible tagging Integrated Enhanced eCommerce tracking using a custom Datalayer and configure GA4 Enhanced Ecommerce Tracking with all the recommended events, including:
- view_item_list – Track when users browse product lists.
- view_item – Monitor individual product views.
- add_to_cart – Identify when products are added to the cart.
- view_cart – Track visits to the shopping cart.
- remove_from_cart – Analyze cart abandonment behavior.
- begin_checkout – Understand checkout initiations.
- add_shipping_info – Measure when users add shipping details.
- add_payment_info – Track payment information input.
- purchase – Capture completed transactions and revenue.
